Guided December Cow Hunts By late November the snows have pushed the elk out of the high mountains into the lower valleys. December cow hunts last the whole month of December.  This is a 3 day hunt. Whether you want an elk for the freezer or just want to have a good time hunting and watching wildlife on their winter range you’ve come to the right place.  Plan on deep snow and cold weather.  You’ll need to book a motel for this one since all my cabins are winterized by now.
